Cloud security
ZSentry for Google Apps The ZSentry solution adds confidentiality in ways that you can choose, as detailed in Use Options. For example, use the ZSentry Cloud setup linked below if you want to use the Google Apps / Gmail interface to send secure email. Or, use the ZSentry On-Site setup so that Google Apps , Google Mobile, and Gmail never have access to plaintext copies of your messages, as they will not be stored (even temporarily) in a folder or cache with Google.
ZSentry Sans Target technology eliminates online targets, provides per-message encryption with digital signature and US NIST timestamp, and protects user login with two-factor anti-phishing authentication. The setup versatility offered by ZSentry further allows your organization to directly address your specific needs, such as implementing additional data security requirements in the cloud, and with Google Apps. Go to ZSentry for Google How-To >> for an overview and HIPAA compliant settings.
You will need to use:
  1. Your Email Address, where you receive email. You can use any provider, not just the Cloud Client provider. This account defines the email address that you will send secure email From. The Email Address is not hosted by ZSentry; and your email will not be routed through ZSentry.
  2. A ZSentry account for your Email Address (see above). If you do not yet have a ZSentry account, go to signup >>
  3. The PASS for the ZSentry account (see above) to use the SMTP server. If you do not have the PASS, go to Help for New Users >>
  4. A Web Browser (What's a Web Browser?)
  5. An account with a Cloud Client provider; it does not have to use the same Email Address that you want to secure with ZSentry.
Level of Experience
End-user level, following simple directions using the main menu. The task will be to add an SMTP account to the Cloud Client. With Google, you should be able to change the Google account Settings; you may need to change the domain's configuration using the Google control panel for administrators.
Setup is straightforward and only depends on your cloud service provider. If needed, our IT staff or partners can help setup your Cloud Client. We also offer training for your IT staff, so that your organization can provide the Cloud Client setup support in-house.
Time estimate
If you have experience with SMTP setup, or after you setup the first ZSentry account, it should take no more than a couple minutes to manually setup another account. For volume use, the setup can be automated by tools usually available from the Cloud Client vendor, or from ZSentry.

Google Apps only
(not needed for Gmail) Verify with your organization's Google Apps administrator if an Outbound Relay is allowed. If not, before you proceed, ask to apply item #7 in the ZSentry for Google How-To >>
